Disability in First Nations is an area of policy and practice in need of development. To better understand and support those with disability from First Nations, it is imperative that the voices and stories from the communities are heard. This workshop will share findings from three qualitative community-based participatory research projects summarizing main themes that emerged from conversations with First Nations persons with disabilities, those working to support them as well as Elders from communities across Quebec. Of special interest will be the introduction to an open online resource compiled from the data of these projects, which is open to all.
